Chevrolet is getting excited as July 4th draws closer. Why? Because it will be the day when everyone around the world will be getting to see many of their vehicles, including the infamous 2008-2009 Camaro, in action on the big screen. Four of their vehicles have been chosen to play leading ’roles’ in the new ‘Transformers’ movie, which is expected to be a great movie. The 2008-2009 Camaro will be the ‘Bumblebee’.

Consumers and automotive journalists are excited about the return of Camaro. Yet, there is concern that GM may have made yet another crucial mistake. After all we may love the vehicle, but when it comes to purchasing the vehicle…is it possible for most people? The majority of society are unable to afford vehicles with such a high price range.
Now granted, the new Camaro is no six-figure vehicle, but it is a double-digit gas hog. That comes with the big V-8 (and big V-6, in base models) under its hood. With gas rising to $3 per gallon, topping off the 20-something gallon tank of a V-8 muscle car will run you about $70. And that will last you about a week, maybe. So you are talking about $300 bucks per month for fuel.
Billed as the new American muscle car, the Chevy Camaro Convertible is already winning over the public as a panel of 100 Detroit News readers named the concept vehicle “Best of Show.” The Camaro headlined the 2007 Detroit News Readers’ Choice Award winners which Detroit News Editor and Publisher David J. Butler announced today at the Detroit Economic Club’s North American International Auto Show 2007 Luncheon.
Selected from more than 2,000 volunteers, the 100 readers toured the show Wednesday and choose winners in categories such as “Sexiest Vehicle,” “Most Earth-friendly” and “Best Family Hauler.”
