The North American International Show is always an exciting time for us. What with all of the new cars that have been talked about for months and now being revealed we couldn’t help but get excited. One of the first cars to be unveiled that we fell in love with right away was the new Dodge Challenger. It was in a bright red color that seemed so perfect for it we couldn’t help but stare.

The 2010 Camaro will not be exactly what we were all hoping for. We were told by GM Chairman, Rick Wagoner, that the 2010 Camaro would be almost identical to the concept design that was seen at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show. That concept boasted a true hardtop Camaro.
But when it hits production it will no longer be a true hardtop. It seems that the production Camaro will in fact have a B-pillar, making it a standard coupe instead of a traditional hardtop coupe. The standard coupe structure is necessary to keep production costs down and ensure the Camaro’s frame is as light and tight and possible.
Before the brand new Camaro’s US release in 2008, Australians will be the first to get a sneak peak at the first production models. In fact, the cars will be cruising the Australian highways before the year’s out.
Why do the sons of Dundee get preferential treatment over we Yanks of American persuasion? Blame it on GM’s Holden division, which created the General’s new rear-drive platform on which the Camaro (and its own Commodore) is based.
