2009 Chevy CamaroThe new 2009 Chevy Camaro has been seen at some of the world’s most famous auto show. Even a handful of chosen people have gotten the lucky chance to sit behind the wheel and take it for the ultimate test drive. Now we have a tip that Chevy has taken it out on the roads in Melbourne, Australia for a much needed test drive.

It might at first seem odd to find the Camaro being tested in Australia, but that is because GM’s Australian arm, Holden, is leading the development work on the Camaro. The new Camaro is based on GM’s global rear-drive architecture, which also underpin’s Holden’s VE Commodore range of cars.

2009 Chevy CamaroFor those of you who watched ‘Transformers’ know that it was one of the best movies of the year. Sure it won’t win any awards, but when it comes to kicking-butt, funny lines, and cool cars this movie has it all. In a little less than two weeks we get that chance to see it again and we also get a chance to win a Chevy Camaro!

In the DVD, you will find a special insert from Chevrolet. Open the insert and you find a website address to register for a chance to win one of three actual production versions of the Bumblebee Camaro. The website will offer you the opportunity to sign up for information on the upcoming Camaro launch.

Camaro Racing The MustangIt is a historic racing battle, the battle between the Camaro and the Mustang. Something that will be continued on July 28th when they will face off at the Zwartkops Raceway. It will be Michele Lupini’s BP Ultimate Bosal 1968 Chevy Camaro vs. Ben Morgenrood’s 1966 Ford Mustang.

“Ben Morgenrood doesn’t sleep at night,” Chev rival Lupini says of the Ford driver. “Rather he plots how to make his car quicker and spends his waking hours putting those dreams into practice and the previous race saw us still running reliably but some two seconds off the pace…” But with Lupini out of town for the last race Willie Hepburn drove the BP Bosal Camaro and the team found the pace it needed to close the gap to the Ford.
