It seems like we keep hearing about the new Camaro. All the specs, new features to expect, and even seeing it in on the big screen. But when it comes to seeing it up close and personal…we are at a loss. We want to know when we get to test drive it and possibly purchase it.
Chevrolet announced that the Camaro coupe, originally shown as a concept at the 2006 Detroit auto show, will go on sale in the first quarter of 2009, with production starting in late 2008. If the interest shown by auto-show goers is any indication of how many people will purchase a new Camaro, we won’t be surprised if you have to wait to get yourself a 2009 retro-rodded Camaro when it does hit dealerships. A convertible version of the new Camaro, shown in bright orange with black racing stripes at the 2007 Detroit auto show, should be available by late 2009.
